Distance Learning Information
Hello students,
I hope you are all well and ready to get this Distance Learning experience started. I am happy to say that I have already heard from 206 of my 210 students and I am excited about working with all of you for the remainder of the school year.Lots to cover before we get started this Tuesday.
If you did not get a chance to view Mr. V's Distance Learning Syllabus/Plan, please do so at your convenience.
-For now, I am not planning to have "live", in person class sessions.
-Assignments will be posted by Monday of each week and are expected to be turned in by Sunday of same week.
-See your "to do" or "calendar" sections on Jupiter Grades for assignment details. Week #1 assignments have been posted.
-All students will be using the district provided Teen Health textbook which should have already been downloaded to iPad on Notability or Google Drive. If not, on class website view Health Education page then Health Textbook link.

-If you have questions, please feel free to message/email me. I will reply as soon as possible or within 24 hours.
-I am positive your peers can offer support as well. I encourage students to FaceTime (or communicate) each other and work together during this time. There will be some struggle as our distance learning model is rolled out. Be patient, be positive, and let's support each other along the way.
Take care,
Mr. V
Welcome to Mr. V's Human Performance and Well Being class web site. This web site was created to be an informational resource for students and parents of Rancho del Rey Middle School. This site offers users access to current news, class assignments, physical education, and health education related resources.
Activities and curriculum are guided by California State Content Standards. This class will promote the understanding of the “how” and “why” of movement, develop skill and competency in many movement activities, instill an appreciation for self and others, and provide students the opportunity to improve physical fitness. I will provide a learning environment that is safe and non-threatening where students are encouraged to take appropriate risks. I believe that good fitness habits are learned early in life and carry over into adulthood. I look forward to working with you this year.
